On April 5, schools will gradually reopen for grade levels, beginning with grades 7/8 for one week, followed by grades 5/6 the following week. This will allow schools to ensure safety protocols are fully in place and receive valuable feedback from our oldest students during weeks one and two. During week 3, Preschool, TK, Kindergarten, and grade 1 will return, followed by grades 2, 3, and 4 in week 4. The Board's decision to begin Phase 2 on April 5 will be revisited in February 2021 and communication to families will follow the next day. The first phase of in-person opening includes appointments for educational assessments, and in-person learning for high priority individuals or small groups. The Board approved Phase 1, limited and needs-based in-person instruction and assessment, to begin in late January or early February 2021. There will be no distributions on December 14 or 21, 2020. Through the end of the year, families may receive meals at distribution sites hosted by Sweetwater Union High School District.
